Family Living & Commodities
Join the fun and excitement of exhibiting in two acres of
Family Living, horticultural, environmental and 4-H exhibits! From
beautifully-crafted quilt blocks to perfectly preserved jellies; picturesque
Christmas trees to 80-pound pumpkins! Family Living displays at the Pennsylvania
Farm Show highlight the diversity of craft, commodities and cuisine
Pennsylvania and Pennsylvanians have to offer!
Contests in the Family Living area throughout the week
include blue ribbon apple pie, homemade chocolate cake, sticky buns, thumbprint
cookies, angel food cake and the great Pennsylvania whoopie pie contest! Can’t
make it to the Show? Don’t worry, all contests are televised on the
Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN)!
The Farm Show offers six halls, three arenas and over 30
livestock competitions. From mighty Belgian horses to mini rex rabbits, and
everything in between! Nearly 6,000 of the commonwealth’s best animals compete
each year for the coveted Grand Champion title.
The show ring isn’t all serious business. Celebrity cow
milking, Angora Palooza and the Sheep to Shawl contest are just a few of the
popular extra-curricular livestock events held throughout the week.
